Incubator Spotlight: 4GreenPs

“Speed-to-market is important, but making sure a business has the right strategy and can execute against it is critical,” says Lynn Miller, CEO of 4GreenPs, one of the first companies to join Bethesda Green’s Business Incubator. “Whether it’s energy efficient products or CSR campaigns, marketers need to expand their focus on the mass market -- for the benefit of us all.”
Lynn and her team help clients with everything from the development and execution of marketing plans and product launches to staff training and implementation of PR, social media and inbound marketing campaigns. Recently, 4GreenPs and its client NCC won the PR News NonProfit Award for Best Fundraising Campaign.
Among the many companies 4GreenPs has served are local firms like Mom Made Foods, a leading brand of organic children’s food; and Sunnovations, which is revolutionizing the solar hot water sector with its patented technology, and national brands like Seventh Generation and Earth Mama Angel Baby.
“It was life changing to realize I could use my marketing know-how to further the sustainability cause,” Lynn noted. “When I started my company, I focused on software and technology marketing, as that had been my focus in the corporate world. But eventually, green clients found me through my blog, volunteer work, and online environmental activism.”
Emblematic of this shift in thinking was Lynn’s rechristening of her firm as 4GreenPs. Nothing could make her market—green—and her strategy—the four fundamentals—clearer.
Lynn has a talented staff of part-time specialists, and partners with other boutique firms and independent consultants. Next year, her goal is to open up opportunities for full-time professionals who employ all of the four Ps of Marketing.
