Making Bethesda a Better Place to Live and Work

Corporate Sponsorship

Established in January 2008, Bethesda Green relies on the support of the entire community – residents, businesses and government – to carry out its mission. We leverage existing community assets and incubate new green initiatives to realize the goal of making our community a better place to live and work.

Bethesda Green connects businesses, citizen associations, nonprofits, county agencies, and the faith-based community to advance sustainability initiatives, projects, events, and education programs.

Sponsorship helps expand the infrastructure for Bethesda Green to launch programs for the entire sustainable living initiative. Supporters are encouraged to provide either financial or in-kind contributions.

Bethesda Green does not support mandates or new taxes. Rather Bethesda Green helps local and regional companies embrace a greener tomorrow. Getting involved by becoming a corporate sponsor shows a willingness to support Bethesda’s evolution to a model livable community and demonstrates a willingness to learn more about how to green your business. It also can help save your business money and meet changing consumer preferences for more environmentally friendly products and services.

Why Your Business Should Participate

  • Unique Selling Proposition – promote your business as environmentally conscious, socially-minded and distinct from your competition.

  • Economics – find out how “green” can improve your bottom line.

  • Marketing and PR – enhance the exposure of your organization’s community efforts to both local and national consumers.

  • Community Education – learn new ways to integrate “green” practices into operations to positively impact your community.

  • Networking – meet other community leaders through events and working groups.

  • Economic “Hub” – establish Bethesda as a hub of activity for economic development and sustainable business activity.

  • Showcase Community – communities worldwide visit the Bethesda Green website as a model to emulate.
